Van de stadt Splinter Sailing Yacht
The Van de Stadt Splinter was designed for the Dutch Royal Ocean Racing Club to compete in the North Sea with a 3 person crew. It is GRP built with a 3’10″ fin keel and skeg hung rudder.
All areas below the waterline have been stripped back, dried and treated with 7 coats of approved anti osmosis paint, prior to anti fouling. All deck fittings have been removed and the deck painted, with some antislip areas, prior to reattaching all deck fittings. All external woodwork has been replaced with pirhana pine and treated with UV resistant oil.
The boat comes on a new 4 wheel braked trailer, it has a 4hp 2 stroke 2 cyl. outboard motor hung on a new outboard bracket. Inside it has a chemical toilet, a gimballed cooker to hold a camping gas cooker and mostly repainted interior.
On the mast it has had the halliards replaced where needed. The foresail is on roller reefing and there is a storm jib. The mainsail is the correct size but is not a Splinter mainsail.
The boat is ready to be sailed but could do with a few more weekends spending on it to make it 100% and this is reflected in the bargain price of £2,795.
